What's new in DiskYT
A short changelog of useful features and improvements, newest first. Dates below refer to the development updates; availability depends on the version deployed. Some advanced functionality is still being checked, and experimental features have limitations.
- Check Videos in Edit mode. Open More Options > Check Videos on desktop, or use Check Videos directly in the mobile Edit controls. Review unavailable videos and covers in your own playlists, optionally including subfolders, for a chosen playback country. Select what to remove and confirm the preview; a scan never deletes content by itself. Current-page changes still need the normal Save action. Recursive cleanup has a separate Save All Selected Changes confirmation. Failed or quota-limited checks remain unknown, not evidence for deletion.
- Bluetooth playlist controls (experimental). An optional Bluetooth icon beside playback controls on phones and tablets enables headphone Play/Pause and Next support. Blue means enabled; switching modes stops playback. This mode queues up to 100 videos and skips songs with start/end timestamps. Support varies by browser and device; background and lock-screen playback are not guaranteed. You may need to start playback on the page first. See the Bluetooth guide for limitations and recovery tips.
- Smoother station browsing. Load more adds stations without replacing the results already on screen. Returning from a station restores your browse position during the same app visit. Empty stations are excluded from the public browse listing.
- Missing-cover placeholders. Broken or missing cover artwork uses a record placeholder instead of a broken image. A failed metadata check does not erase the saved cover or playlist entries.
- Import and save reliability fixes. Work on YouTube drag-and-drop and saving addresses failures in core editing workflows. This does not mean every historical issue or advanced sync scenario is resolved.
